- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, where all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams to level the playing field, often with half‑goal or quarter‑goal lines that reduce the chance of a draw.
- Back Bet
- A conventional bet that an outcome will happen, placed with a bookmaker or on an exchange.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting aside a specific amount of money for betting and deciding how much to stake on each wager.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that allows you to combine different markets from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The built‑in profit margin in the odds offered, often called the "juice" or "vig".
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet on whether each side will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that requires you to predict the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match (e.g., win or draw), reducing risk.
- Dutching
- Spreading your stake across multiple outcomes in the same event to guarantee a profit regardless of which one wins.
- Favourite
- The team or player considered most likely to win, usually reflected by lower odds.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the opening goal of the match.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that requires you to predict both the result at halftime and the final outcome of the match.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet relative to your perceived edge.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a specific outcome will not happen, typically used on betting exchanges.
- Odds
- The numerical expression of the likelihood of an outcome, also indicating the potential payout for a winning bet.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Point Spread
- A margin set by oddsmakers to equalize the chances of two teams, often requiring the favourite to win by a certain amount.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a particular bet.
- Underdog
- The team or player expected to lose, indicated by higher odds.
- Value Bet
- A wager where the odds offered appear higher than the true probability of the outcome, offering potential long‑term profit.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from it.
